Dear colleagues and guests,
 
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Malacca Historical City, Malaysia, for the 6th IAPMD Annual Scientific Meeting 2019 that will be held on 7th - 8th September 2019. The meeting is jointly organized by IAPMD Malaysian Division and Kelab Sukan dan Kebajikan Jabatan Patologi, Hospital Melaka. The theme of this year meeting is “Liver and Pancreas”, both of which represent enormously challenging and important fields in diagnostic pathology. The committee has put together a comprehensive program and it will also allow time for discussion with the participants.

Malacca is a place with an unparalleled history, an inimitable and tangible soul that rarely fails to captivate and seize the imagination. Malacca is living testimony to the multi-cultural heritage and tradition of Asia and European colonial influences. This historic city of the Straits of Malacca have developed over 500 years of trading and cultural exchanges between East and West in the Straits of Malacca. This multi-cultural heritage is expressed in the great variety of religious buildings of different faiths, ethnic quarters, the many languages, dances, costumes, art and music, food, and daily life. This city also reflects a mixture of influences which have created a unique architecture, culture and townscape without parallel anywhere in East and South Asia.
