Greetings to all,

 

Welcome to the 6th  Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) which is held together with the IAPMD Annual General Meeting (AGM). Every year since IAPMD was established in 2013, this conference is held in various cities.  We were in Kota Kinabalu last year and will be going to Kuantan next year. I am very pleased to see that Malaysian anatomic pathologists are active is seeking knowledge by attending such conference.  In between annual conference IAPMD also host seminars on various branches of pathology such as gynae pathology in Penang recently.  Congratulations to  IAPMD members from for organizing such a good conference this year.  

 

We determine our conference venues for 2 years in advance. This way, there is ample time to search for speakers and sponsors. The choice of Melaka for the AGM is very appropriate. Melaka is a historical city. Apart from attending talks during the conference days, delegates could take the opportunity to tour these historical sites afterward.

 

I would like to welcome the international and Malaysian speakers; Professor Aileen Wee, Associate Professor Dr. Mark Luquette, Associate Prof. Dr Wai Chin Foo, Professor David F. Chhieng and Datin Dr Nik Raihan Nik Mustapha.  I am sure the participants will learn immensely from these speakers.

 

I hope you will enjoy the scientific meeting and networking. For members of IAPMD, do not forget to attend the AGM on the first day and for non-members,  you are welcome to observe the meeting and hope you will become members soon.
